Korean Experience in Cebu

Goodies I went home with

Of all the countries I've been to (as if there were tons of it. heheh!), nothing can surpass how I terribly miss Korea.
I got loads of fantastic experiences in that country that it made me miss her more and more.
And yeah. I have yet to make a different post for that trip. :p

I am partially cured today.
Thanks for days like this - Festival!

How I was cured of missing Korea?

History Overdose in Ilocos Sur

Calle Crisologo at daytime

Upon setting foot on the cobblestone stretch of Calle Crisologo & seeing calesa everywhere, you will definitely feel separated from the modern world.

I regretted not wearing baro't saya & bakya. Should definitely do that next time.

New establishments around adapt to this historic place.
I saw hotels &  foreign restaurants like Max's Restaurant and McDonald's did.

Yummy Ilocos Norte

Explored Ilocos Norte with my photo & food trip buddy, Khonie-chan.
We couldn't wait for more people to come with us so we opted to travel by ourselves.
Off we flew Cebu --> Manila --> Laoag.

Trike was our mode of transportation.
Negotiated 1.4k for 2 days.
Every trike has a list of places to visit so it won't be a problem if you go there with no itinerary.
Drivers knew where to take you.
We highly recommend our driver, Ronald Ramos of #23 trike.
He is the best there is in Pagudpud. :)

Historic Corregidor

Finally, I visited this place! Yipee!
I am one history fan.
This place contributes much to our country.

Love to go back.
Can't get enough.

I will let the photos do the talking this time. ^_^

Hundred Islands National Park

I only get to see this place before in my Civics grade school textbooks.
Either one of the Magagandang Tanawin sa Pilipinas or an example of land forms.

Bye Bye, Multiply

Thank you, Multiply!

It has been reported that Multiply will shutdown its blogging, social networking, and sharing services on December 1, 2012.

I've been a member sometime in 2008.
It's the first site where I posted some of my photography experiments.

Korean Film Festival 2012

Photo credit: Cebu Korean Association Inc. (Cebu Hanin Hue Inc.) fb
This girl is a big fan of Korean movies and dramas.
That is the main reason why I was lured to visit their country.
I wanna see those beautiful places with my very own eyes & experience their rich culture.

I'll Remember

Last year.
That brief moment in Baguio City after Sagada.
Walking around not minding the maddening crowd.

Pampered in Dipolog City

Dipolog City
* the capital of Zamboanga del Norte province located in Mindanao.
* also called as "The Orchid City of the Philippines".
* booming bottled sardine industry

A dear friend's wedding brought me and my college friends to Dipolog City 3 months ago.

Coincidentally, it was their Pagsalabuk Festival when we arrived.

Bee Day turned Bee Week

Durhan Beach Resort

This is the longest Bee day celebration ever!
FUNtastic laag again.
Going out somewhere on our birthday weekend is fast becoming our tradition.

Though there were only the 3 of us who went, the weekend was packed with fun that I never regretted pushing through the trip.

BEE Day!

Started the celebration by watching Brian McKnight concert alone.
I am a huge fan.
He's indeed a good performer, entertainer, & singer.
Never thought he's a good comedian too.

10 Things You Probably Don't Know About Me

1. a frustrated green thumb
Plants won't grow well if I am the one who plants it. Flowering plants just refused to flower. :p

2. prefers sweet simple yet constant gestures over rare extravagant ones.
the hopeless romantic in me, I guess.

M's Birthday!

Birthday boy M wants to celebrate invisibly.
He'd prefer people to treat it just as any ordinary day.
So, off he went to a far away land.

Bee's Art of Living Alone

In Filipino culture, living alone is quite not normal.
We have close family ties that even when children reaches 18 or when married, they still live with their parents, aunts, uncles, etc.

I am living alone not because I don't love my parents.
I do love them so much but it is here that I'd be able to grow professionally.
I have also this curiosity when I was a kid - of women in movies living independently.
Want to experience what it feels like.

17th Hot Air Balloon Fiesta

February 9-12, 2012
Clark Airfield, Pampanga

Let's keep our dreams alive by working hard to achieve them.
The feeling is priceless when you reach them one by one.
I am even willing to travel alone from the Visayas to Clark just for this.

Scarred People are Beautiful

I first read this article when I was in college.
Today, I need to refresh myself.
I need to remind myself about something...

M an speaks:
 I've been hurt, Lord.
I have trusted and been betrayed at times.
I have loved and received nothing in return.
I have tried hard to care and failed often.

2011 Travels

I will renew my blogging love affair this year.:)
I'll try not to be as lazy as the past years.
Good luck with that self. :p

I called it "a paradise tucked away in southern Cebu".
My new refuge. I am at peace. I feel nothing but happiness..

Love does not die easily. It is a living thing. It thrives in the face of all life's hazards, save one: neglect.
- James Bryden

My bro & I. Behind the scene photos ^__^

Not in my wildest dreams could I have imagined be included in an indie film.
Let alone a Cebuano masterpiece.

Getting over a painful experience is much like crossing monkey bars. You have to let go at some point in order to move forward.

After almost a year in hiatus, writing about Tuki (Cebuano term for Whaleshark; Butanding in Filipino) is the best comeback blog for me. Haha!

Going to Donsol, Sorsogon to see these gentle giants is in my bucket list.
