I Scream Ice Cream!

I promised my tummy I'll go pig-out in Legazpi and I'm true to my word. I did.

1st COLONIAL GRILL
I find this restaurant a bit pricey for my standards.

Yeah. I'm one cheapskate.

Here you can find some weird flavored ice cream plus they got their own delicious food to boast.

Must have been starving when we went there. I totally forgot to take a photo of the restaurant's name.

TINAPA RICE
signature dish of fired rice with tinapa flakes and slices of salted egg, green mangoes, and tomatoes served in a small "kawali".
good for 2-3 pax

Tinapa Rice @ Php 199
With this, I don't need viand.
This is a complete meal for me. :)

TINUTUNGANG MANOK
chicken stewed in coconut cream extracted from slightly scorched coconut milk that infuses a distinct smoky flavor
Tinutungang Manok @ Php 239
I like this dish.
Good combination of creaminess, banana's sweetness, & that scorched thingy after-taste.

5-SPICE GRILLED CHICKEN
Grilled chicken marinated in 5 special spices.
Half - Php 195
Whole - Php 390
I have no idea what those "5 special spices" are. Hahaha!

Get ready for the "bidas"!
Their ice cream!

I read from their menu they claimed Sili, Tinutung, & Pili ice cream flavors "Originated from Legazpi in 1st Colonial Grill."

SILI ICE CREAM
3 scoops @ Php 79
If you love something hot, this one is for you.
The coldness magnifies the hotness...for me. ^_^
It really tastes like the real thing. Kulang nalang makakita ako ng sili seeds. :)

MALUNGGAY ICE CREAM
3 scoops @ Php 79
My parents let me drink before malunggay juice. They extracted it by squeezing the leaves.
Yeah. Tastes the same. Only difference is this one is cold.

KALAMANSI ICE CREAM
3 scoops @ Php 60
I like this. Sweet & a little sourness.
Kalamansi is good when you have colds. Can I take this instead as medicine? lol!

TINUTONG ICE CREAM
glutinous rice cooked in coconut milk with toasted munggo beans
3 scoops @ Php 79
The taste is ok for me.
I called this "dukot" ice cream.
Dukot in Bisaya is scorched rice. hehehe

  5. Hey, Yotch! I beg to disagree - those ice cream flavors aren't "weird" and they're not scary. I LURVE those - the Sili, Malunggay, Kalamansi, Tutung, super! But then, "weird" is my last name, mao tingali! haha.
