Take time to REALIZE...

HHmmm... this song has been playing in my head lately.

"R E A L I Z E"
Colbie Caillat

Take time to realize,
That your warmth is crashing down on in.
Take time to realize,
That I am on your side.
Didn't I, didn't I tell you?

Sunday 2pm Rendezvous

When someone asks you to meet him/her at Sunday 2pm, do clarify if it's a "when" or a "where".
Be mindful of the prepositions used: "on" or "at". ^_^

I can see your eyebrow rise. ahihihih.
It can also be a "where" because there's a bookshop-themed cafe here in Cebu with that name.

Cafe Noriter Love Affair

Coffee lovers got another playground here in Cebu.
It's Cafe Noriter!

Actually, the word Noriter means "playground" in Korea.

I've been to this place a couple of times already.
Never fails to make me feel "kilig". ^_^

BORUSSIA in Sogod

The word "Borussia" may sound like "She's pregnant" in Bisaya. hehehe
But it is actually a German restaurant located in Brgy. Bawo, Sogod, Cebu.

According to them, Borussia is the goddess of fortune.

Where To Find True Food in Boracay?

Hmmmm... That will be in Station 2 beachfront. :)

Oh! True Food, by the way, is the name of an Indian resto in Boracay.
My friends and I have been hunting Indian food lately.
2weeks before we came here, we went to Mr India (that will be on a different post).
Even in Boracay, we craved for one.

Happily TRICKed!

Trick Eye Museum is also called as Trompe l'oeil Museum.
Trompe l'oeil means an art designed to trick the eye.

The first known use of trompe l'oeil, as legend would have it, dates back to ancient Greece, in the fifth century BC, when the artist Zeuxis painted a bunch of grapes so realistic that a bird flew down to peck at them. (Source: www.france24.com)

I willingly submit myself to be tricked that day.
And I am happy with the result. lol

Seoul's TRICK-EYE MUSEUM made the child in me go crazy.

Can't put into words how happy I am.
I'll just let the photos do the talking.

Upon entering...

SOUTH KOREA as I see it

Welcome to Korea!
For me, Seoul is like Asia's Paris.
People there are fashionable. I love the sight of it be it in trains, buses.. just anywhere.
I find it romantic too. Aside from seeing lovey dovey couples, you'll literally see hearts almost everywhere.

Finding Roof in CORONation

Here are some of the places the Bee tried staying in Coron.

2013
TAMETA PENSION HOUSE
www.tameta.ph
+639289462811
mario_tameta17@yahoo.com

Free wifi

Walkable from town center.
Around 10-15 minutes.

It's a 3-floor house.
2nd floor has 2 big rooms.

Bridge linking the restaurant & 2nd floor

Be sure to choose the one on the right side like we did.

It has its own living room.

The living room itself is "sleepable". hehehe

Php 1,500/night
6 adults 3 children

The room has 2 double beds + 1 single bed.
Toilet is at the left side.

SANTHALIA'S PLACE

www.santhaliasplace.com
09381569651
calamiantravel@yahoo.com

If you want spacious & more comfortable & doesn't mind a 7-min trike ride to the town, then this place is for you.

Yeah. 7mins 'cause I timed it. :p
Beside it is a school.

more accommodations outside.

We got the one with 2 double beds.
Our room was located at the ground floor of the house.
Php 1,700 w/c includes our extra mattress.
4 adults 3 children
That's my super doper kulit godchild by the way. :D

Ground floor has 3 rooms & 2 common toilets.

I like this place more though it has a downside.
Not so good mobile signal in our room.

By the way, they do have a kitchen.
You can either cook your own food or have them cook for you for a minimum fee.

This place is so homey.
I super love their attic.
Plus the people here go an extra mile to make you feel more comfortable.
Ate Gigi made it sure we enjoyed our stay plus she even helped us with our Culion trip.
Thanks, Ate!

Php 1,800 /night
We got the room with an attic in it.
stairs to the attic
The attic has 2 mattresses:
mattress #1
mattress #2
Too bad I didn't have a photo of the place outside.
With regards to food, you can ask them cook for you.
You want to be one with nature?
This place is for you.
Surrounded with tress & away from the crowd & noise.

This island loop tour is a must.
It is in this tour you'll get to see the place where Coron's trademark photo was taken.

YUGO: the Yakiniku, not the Frozen Yogurt

There are quite a lot of establishments here with the same name.
Yogo & Yogu are frozen yogurt parlors.
While this Yugo is the Yakiniku place.

Yakiniku is a Japanese word which means "grilled meat".

Do you think Smalltalk Cafe was named after the Smalltalk programming language? :)
Or maybe because the food are all so good, you'll have less chitchat time? :D

Caramoan mini travel guide

SUGGESTIONS:
1. Plan your trip well.
Because of Survivor shoot, many were disappointed because they can't go to the islands they wish to visit.

Thank You for the Broken Heart

We do sometimes get so occupied praying, asking, & requesting for what we desire that we forgot to be thankful.

Be thankful for every little thing that we have: the air we breathe, the food we eat.. so on.

Be thankful for whatever comes our way - may it be our triumphs or failures.

Yes! Be thankful even for that broken heart.

Surviving Caramoan: Short Tour

Caramoan, CamSur is a combination of EL NIDO for its limestone karsts + BORACAY for its fine white sand. Only not crowded and unexploited.

This place came to fame after being chosen as the location for  Koh-Lanta's (Survivor in France) 8th season (2008).
And, of course, the rest is history.

Looking back at 2012

My 2012 has that bittersweet aftertaste.
Nonetheless, I am so grateful for the year that has been.

True love withstands test of time.
My Earth angels to the rescue.
Lessons learned.

I may have 2 very important travels - domestic & abroad - cancelled (bye bye 7 tickets! :p) but overall I am happy with myself.
I covered quite a lot last year.
