Where To Find True Food in Boracay?

Hmmmm... That will be in Station 2 beachfront. :)

Oh! True Food, by the way, is the name of an Indian resto in Boracay.
My friends and I have been hunting Indian food lately.
2weeks before we came here, we went to Mr India (that will be on a different post).
Even in Boracay, we craved for one.

And because of that craving, it cost us an arm and a leg.
Yeah. Their price is quite expensive for us, cheapskates. whahaha.
This is the most expensive meal we had in the island.

But but but... yummy-ness guaranteed!

Below is their menu board.

On ROTTI & DOSEI
(Indian bread varieties)
You can choose from chapati, paratha, naan, rotti, dosei,etc.

Naan
leavened bread baked in a tandoori oven.
Naan @ Php 130 /pc

On MURG
(Chicken)

* Sri Lankan Chicken Curry
chicken cooked with spices & coconut milk.

I love the chemistry of this curry & our naan. Yumm..

* Tandoori Chicken
tender chicken marinated in yoghurt, ginger, garlic, & chili paste then cooked in the tandoori oven.
Tandoori chicken @ Php 390

* Chicken Masala

chicken cooked in the traditional way with aromatic & mildly spiced tomato sauce.

Chicken masala @ Php 430
Never ever underestimate their servings.
It looked small but when we started eating, it is more than enough to feed 5 hungry bellies.
We even took home a doggie bag. :D

On COUSCOUS
dish made with semolina flour & steamed when cooked.

Instead of having chawal (rice), I tried couscous.
You can order those with meat & veggies but I choose the plain one.
I am curious of its taste.
Plain couscous @ Php 200
Verdict? Tastes like our milled corn "bugas" here in Cebu.
The one we ate sometimes instead of rice. :)

On JALPAN
(Cold beverages)

Lassie
yoghurt drink.

True Food has 3 choices - fruit, sweet, salted, or spiced.

I am a huge lassi fan but I haven't tasted yet the salted version so I had one.
salted Lassie @ Php 130
I really like it when it is thick.
Firozzian's is still my fave.

Some friends had chai (TF's hot Indian tea flavoured with milk, cardamon, & fennel seeds).
TF's version has a different twist from the ones I had before.
Tastes interesting.
HHmmm.... Never thought I'd use that adjective for food.
But surely it does taste interesting.. in a good way.

True Food's 2nd floor
My friend A super love their huge pillows. She doesn't want to leave. :D

We were seated on this part...

Lovely, right?
'Twas dark when we went there so that view isn't visible.
